The inspiration behind Atxiaoge stemmed from the observation that people often resort to the internet to find courier services. Recognizing this, Zhan Xiao and his team designed Atxiaoge to streamline the process, enabling users to find and call couriers directly through the platform.
What sets Atxiaoge apart from other courier service platforms is its one-step service. Users can locate the nearest courier, select an address, and place a call, all within the application. Once the courier picks up the parcel, they inform the user of the cost, which can be paid through the application, simplifying the entire process.
Atxiaoge is powered by Global Positioning System technology and is available on both iOS and Android platforms. The application's design is user-friendly, with a focus on visibility, naturalness, consistency, cognition, and emotional design. These principles ensure that users can easily navigate the application and understand its functions.
The project was initiated in March 2016 in Hangzhou and completed in August 2016. The most significant challenge faced during the design process was establishing real-time communication between online users and offline couriers. However, Zhan Xiao and his team successfully overcame this hurdle, enabling users to track couriers in real-time and communicate with them directly through the application.
Atxiaoge's innovative approach to courier services has been recognized with a Silver A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award in 2017. This prestigious award is testament to the application's remarkable design and innovation, and its potential to redefine the courier service industry.
